很多美国人，或者说从资本主义周期中一时获利的人，都没有意识到的是：长期的经济发展，只能来自于人均产出能力的提高。金融手段，从其他地区/行业的掠夺，都不能够贡献长期的经济发展。唯一的问题是，这个长期有多长。
“长期来看我们都死了”，解决这个问题可以靠短期手段，但根本的解决是让“我们都死了”不要影响人类对未来发展的努力。更根本的也许是，让我们别死。
Many Americans, or people who benefit from the cycles of capitalism, are not aware that the long term economy growth can only be achieved by more productivity. The financial/fiscal tricks, wars that gain from other areas/industries do not contribute to longer term economy growth. The only problem is, we don’t know how long ‘long term’ means.
“In the long run we are all dead.” was once used to support short term stimulation methods. But to really deal with the problem, not letting “we’re all dead” to drive people’s decisions is the way. Or maybe going to the root cause, us not dying will eventually solve all the problems in human civilization?
